
A red orb ascends the murky sky. A small, sheltered cove, with a sandy beach, provided a welcome campsite near Hermanville the previous evening, at the end of a 60 plus kilometers paddle in strengthening tailwinds throughout the day. From here, East Point, a significant milestone in the trip is a few hours paddle east, where a rocky reef meets the Gulf of St. Lawrence and the Northumberland Strait. |
