My campsite at Seacow Pond was on a comfortable pebble beach, away from the invasive sand. I'd been granted permission to camp by two friendly New Hampshire golfing buddies, just two of the numerous friendly people I'd encountered during my circumnavigation. On average, the shoreline recedes at an annual rate of approximately one meter per year.
