Craft that Catch

Predator 138 > Old Town

Length: 13’8”
Width: 29.5”
Weight: 57
Price: $799
Contact: www.oldtowncanoe.com

Pros: The hull on this boat, while being in the rec class, was surprisingly fast, allowing us to cover more ground with less energy and get to da goods. The spray deck, which had a multitude of zippered pockets, nicely accommodated everything we needed for the day.

Cons: The rod holder, positioned in the path of your paddle stroke’s most powerful phase, was practically useless. Another shortcoming is that the Predator does not have a place to put your paddle while fishing, suggesting that the boys in design need to spend more time fishing and paddling themselves.

I would only fish with a Crow Wing Kayak, they are made for fishing. I got mine here. http://www.sportkayaks.net
