Pelican Photo Contest

Did a Pelican case or a Pelican light ever save you from disaster? Do you have photos of extreme beauty or high adventure that show Pelican products in their best light?

Pelican Products, the manufacturer of indestructible watertight cases and high-tech flashlights, is looking for photos and stories for their Pelican Tough contest, which runs from now until Feb. 28, 2005.

Contestants have a chance at a share in nearly $5,000 worth of prizes in three categories: Most Scenic, Most Adventurous, and Best Story. Winning photos and stories may be featured and credited in special Pelican Products advertisements throughout 2005.

Most Scenic Photo: From a babbling brook or from the deck of an off-shore power boat, or any type of outdoor setting. Must include a Pelican case or light.
Most Adventurous Photo: From the lip of a volcano to the middle of a blizzard, he who snaps the most extreme shot wins. Must include a Pelican case or light.
Best Story: Did a Pelican case or light ever save you? Did the case or light perform well beyond that of a mortal product? Send in your story of 300 words or more. No photo needed.

Each photo category will have three winners (1 first place and 2 runners-up) and the best story category will have two winners (1 first place and 1 runner-up). All first place winners will receive $1,000 worth of Pelican gear. All runners-up will receive $300 worth of Pelican gear.
